Siri had indeed become one of the most exciting features in iPhone 4S. Then what would that be if such features are made for Android phones? Siri, is the software that leverages the voice to do frequently asked questions, provide recommendations, as well as do a number of commands that integrated web services, location, or video.

In addition to iOS, this application was initially planned was also released for the BlackBerry and Android, but null and void since it was purchased by Apple in April 2010, which later became the exclusive features in iPhone 4S.

Exclusively for users of Android, there is a similar application called Iris (as opposed to the name of the Iris) that was created by young programmers from India, Dexetra. “All of a sudden I wanted to make a similar application (Siri) for Android,” wrote Dexetra via his official blog.

Dexetra also confessed to not take long to make this app, what’s more he’s been quite a long time working in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). “Just took 8 hours to make the layout and design, as well as the inclusion of several voice commands. Including a bit of an answer, “adds Dexetra.

Iris can be downloaded via the Android Market. Interested in using it?
